When: Monday afternoons 5:30pm , March 18th-April 22nd

Where: Junior Team Tennis is played on Yarbrough Tennis Center Hard courts

What:   Junior Team Tennis (JTT)

Why wait until high school to join a tennis team? Or maybe you want to join another team! USTA Junior Team Tennis, or “JTT”, brings together boys and girls, ages 8 to 18, to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles against other coed teams. Beyond being fun and a great form of exercise, USTA Junior Team Tennis is a competitive, level-based environment that promotes individual growth, social development and life skills.

Our local Spring League will divide our JTT group into age and skill appropriate teams. At each City of Auburn JTT meeting we will have Youth Volunteers and Recreational leaders who will organize, assist and direct players to court and through their match experience.

Who Should be Playing in USTA Junior Team Tennis?

USTA Junior Team Tennis teams offer options for players ages 8 to 18. Players who start on a JTT team are expected to be able to serve, maintain a rally and know how to keep score using the full court. If your player gets the general concept of tennis we will assist at the first meeting with scoring. By the second week everybody should have learned how to keep score.

Summer 2024 JTT season starts June 3rd and will last for 5 matches to qualify for JTT State Tournament. Players who are planning on qualifying and attend the state tournament in Mobile AL.
